Automated Shore Hardness Measurement

Project Overview

We engineered and integrated a compact durometer module within a space limited measurement system. The system replaces a manual measurement process with an in-line solution that delivers reliable and interchangable measurements.

The Challenge

Traditional Shore hardness testers are bulky and require manual probe placement and handling. Their large dimensions prevent integration into tight equipment envelopes, forcing offline sampling, operator dependency, and inconsistent results.

Our Solution

We developed a specialized testing module that provides stable, repeatable Shore hardness measurements directly within the customer's production workflow. Our custom-engineered measuring head ensures results that remain aligned with the existing reference values, allowing a seamless transition from manual devices to automated testing.
